Delete your data.
Last updated: 2026-04-26.
Inside the app (recommended)
- Open Actually. on your device.
- Open Settings.
- Scroll to the bottom and tap Delete all data.
- Confirm. The app clears your local copy, removes the file from your Google Drive, and disconnects from Google.
That's it. There is no separate account to delete because there is no account on our side.
Manual cleanup (if you don't have access to the app)
1. Clear your browser's app data
The app stores a working copy of your data in your browser's local storage. Clearing site data for app.tryactually.app wipes it. In Chrome on Android: long-press the Actually. PWA icon → App info → Storage & cache → Clear storage.
2. Disconnect Actually. from Google Drive
If you signed in with Google Drive, the encrypted file lives in your own Google account. To remove it:
- Go to myaccount.google.com/permissions.
- Find Actually. in the connected apps list.
- Click Remove access.
- Google deletes the app-data folder it managed for us; the file is gone.
3. Cancel any recurring donation (optional)
If you've set up a recurring donation, manage or cancel it via Stripe's billing portal: billing.stripe.com. Stripe authenticates you with the email used at donation time. The only personal info Actually, LLC ever has about you is what Stripe shares for donation processing — your name and email as you entered them at Stripe checkout, plus the customer ID Stripe assigns. We don't see your card number or billing address.
What we don't have to delete
Most “delete my account” pages walk you through removing data from a company's servers. Actually. doesn't have any servers like that. There's no user database, no app-side analytics SDK, no customer profile, no cached transactions. The only record Actually, LLC holds is a Stripe customer ID and donation tier if you donated — Stripe owns the retention policy on that, not us. There's no internal data-subject access process because there's nothing internal to access.
Questions about deletion
Email support@tryactually.app. Because there is no proprietary account or server-side data store, there is rarely anything we can do that you cannot do yourself directly — but we're happy to walk you through any of the steps above.
